the beeb is a great machine for people who need a computer to control
electronics, experiments etc. but this hardly justifies a 486DX2 PC
sitting in the corner of the room pretending to be one.
people have mentioned you can pick up a beeb and disk drive for not alot
of money... if it breaks, throw it away and look for another one.

i'm not an electronics man, but i would have thought getting elite to run
is one thing and emulating the user port or 1MHz/ Tube is quite another.
