Subject: Connecting a 5.25" floppy to a BBC master

Hi,
I have just come by a BBC Master Compact, unfortunately it only
has a 3.5" floppy drive, and I still have some software from my High school
days on 5.25" disks (using the model B back then). What I would like to
know is if there is any way of connecting a 5.25" drive to the master.
It has a DB-25 connector at the back marked "disk" to which the ther
box with the power supply and the floppy drive gets connected. I have
tried connecting a 1.2 Mb drive to this but it didn't work (not that I
really expected it to). Did the BBC use standard disk drives of the time
or were they some custom job? If I got hold of an old 360Kb drive could
I connect it successfully and read my disks? I have absolutely no
documentation with this computer (and no software on 3.5" disks), any
help would be grately appreciated. Thanks.

Remek.
