My effort runs at about the same speed on a 25MHz 68040 and is also in C.
I thought something like a 486DX2 66MHz is suppose to dump all over a '040.
But let's not start a war.

How can you be sure the software you use won't use the FPU?

mmm, i suppose i was asking for it. at least, it can do its division sums.
