Subject: Disc formats

I'm rather confused by the various disc formats used by the Master.

I have a Cumana 3.5" drive, model unknown (all it says is serial no. 140
007929). If I use the *form80 command in DFS, I get two sides of 200k,
total 400k.

If I use the *aform command in ADFS and try to format 80T, double sided (L
format) I get an error on the verify after track 40. I can only
succesfully use 80T single sided (M format) and that gives me 320k total.
So I end up with less than with DFS.

I don't understand why this is.

Presumably my drive is not capable of handling 640k. If I use a 720k
drive (as in an Arc A440/1) would I be able to get 640k? Would I be able
to use a HD (1.44MB) drive from a PC, and get 640k from that?
