Subject: Introduction Time.

Hello all...

Well, at last I've managed to get myself onto the list!

I've been reading some of the Mailing List archives so I've been seeing
what goes on in here, and I noticed that everyone introduced themselves
upon joining. So, I suppose I had better do the same.

Right, you're going to find this amusing but I'm a NEW BBC MICRO OWNER!
Yep, in this world of fast computers I have just bought myself a
2nd hand BBC Micro for 60 pounds. Here's what I got for my money...

       BBC Micro Model B

Extra 32K of Ram activated by a switch in the rear of the machine.
I've no idea what this does.

       DDFF file system hardware

       2 Floppy 5.25" drives

       Software

       2 joysticks

       One colour monitor.

During the 80's I was a Sinclair Spectrum owner, and although I don't
regret owning a Spectrum instead, due to the fact that it had a far
larger user base and more games out for it, I did enjoy going round
to a nearby friend's house to play his BBC games e.g Killa Gorilla,
Repton, Mr Eee etc. Problem is, the machine was just too expensive at
400 pounds.

Well, a few weeks back someone offered me the BBC for 60 pounds with
extras and I jumped at the chance. And after some effort, I've ended
up here.

Right, you can wake up now,

                       Robert
