Subject: Help wanted: Master stops responding to keyboard input

Can anyone suggest a possible fix to the following problem with a Master
128?

The machine stops (for periods from minutes to days) responding to
keyboard input (except for the break key).  However, performing (say) a
Control D Break and continuing to hold the D key, keyboard input is
accepted when other keys are pressed. I have tried swapping keyboards
with another machine, but this does not solve the problem.

Any help will be much appreciated.
