Not at all, this is the information that is needed.

I've just had a look at the board, it doesn't seem to have an issue number
on it, so I would then automatically assume an issue one.
Just says DDFS
WD1770SOLIDISK

If you could dig out any jumper settings it would be a major help (or any
other documentation for that matter).
Wow, a 1770+8271, never new such a thing existed.
