Yes, you yank the 6502 and transfer it to the ramcard, then plug the ROM
into a spare ROM socket.

In what way?   No boot at all, or no extra memory?  More info please...

No jumpers to change.  You are sure you've plugged the cable from the
RAM card in the right way around, and ditto for the 6502 and ROM?

Because you don't specifically say, the card is only for the BBC B and
isn't suitable for the BBC Master.
