Subject: 3.5" drive

I recently obtained a 3.5" floppy drive for my BBC Master with
the intention of copying the majority of my old 5.25" disks onto
3.5". I've installed the 3.5" drive as drive 0, and my old
5.25" as drive 1 in the chain. Both drives appears to work
OK separately (I can format and save files onto them), but when I
attempt to copy a 5.25" disk onto 3.5" using the 'Backup', or
'DirCopy', etc. utilities on the master welcome disk, the 3.5"
copy fails to work (the disk is full of errors even though it
appears to copy, or the backup aborts with disk error 48).
Anyone know what is going wrong?

(also, does anyone know how to format a hard-disk under ADFS?)

Thanks,
Chris
