When an "application" wants to pass data over the Tube it claims it by
calling &406 with A=&Cx (c flag indicates success (clear) or failure) - you
then have exclusive use of the Tube hardware. Once you've done with it you
call &406 with A=&8x.

x is an ID number, TFS has 0, DFS has 1 etc.
