Subject: greetings

I've been reading the posts on this mailing list for about two years,
well, since about June 1986.

I have recently acquired copies of Oak Leaves, published by the only
Canadian Acorn user group. The first issue I have is number 13, from
September 1986, when they first started supporting the Beeb (they
had been Atom only before this time). The last issue is number 24,
from June 1989. At that time the subscription list had dwindled and
so they made that their last issue.

>From time to time I might list out the contents of an issue.

Number 13 included, for the Beeb:
Mode 7 Screen Designer, by John Lasruk
Don't Sue me, Walt, I ain't got no money
-draws Mickey Mouse, modified for Beeb from Q.A.Rice's
program appearing in 1983 March issue of Personal Computing
        World
Planets -A program translated from BBC to Atom and Back!
Mystery Pair by John Lasruk, adapted and enhanced from N. Clarke's
piece originally in 1986 March issue, Your Computer.
Auto-Booting View by John Lasruk (pretty basic stuff which I have
used and improved upon over the years)
From Atom to BBC and Back: how the two machines differ.

I don't have access to a scanner yet, and anyway some of the paper
used was too dark to scan well anyway. But queries about some of the
programming will be accepted.

If this is any help, just let me know.
