Isn't &500 somewhere in the BASIC workspace so it will cause problems for
a BASIC program as it would relocate into its workspace- you'll have to
relocate it from asm code.

If you want me to give it a go then feel free to send the stuff to me, I'll
give it my best shot, no promises tho :)

This could, of course, be complete rubbish :)
