Subject: Master Compact - serial port

Hi All,

I have a BBC Master Compact here that I'm wanting to transfer a lot of
software to. My first idea was to use the serial port, but it seems to be
awfully dead - no voltage on any pins.

Was the serial port an option on the Compact? It's been so long I can't
remember. This port is so dead that if it was a PC I'd say the line
driver IC was missing.

I've tried BeebDOS without success - does it work with 3.5" drives?

Any other ideas most welcome...
