If they are data files for use with another program, or if they are
BASIC programs, the contents of the *.inf usually doesn't matter, so try
making one yourself, putting in zeroes for the load and exec addresses,
for example.

If the file is a machine code program, or another kind of file which
needs to be loaded into a specific part of memeory, I'm afraid you've
lost. You could analyze the other parts of the program using this file
for hints on its proper location in memory, but I'd spend my time
otherwise... :)

The ideal would be if you could get hold of the load and exec attributes
from your BBC. It's easy to type in the *.inf files yourself if you do
get hold of them.

Hmmm... Sorry, I'm stumped. I've sent a copy of this reply to the BBC
micro mailing list. As usual, if anybody else can help David, make sure
your reply addresses him as well.

(Please use forward slashes in URLs.)

Actually, I've had a look at Paul's Repton clone before and it looks
very good. Though I do prefer the original graphics... :-)

Check out Gary McCallum's http://members.aol.com/Gary99129/About.htm.
It has some stuff for BBC games. Also check this directory of The BBC
Lives!: http://www.nvg.ntnu.no/bbc/doc/games, though no Repton stuff
yet.
