I don't know about the Elite version but we wrote a software framework for
doing just this in about 1985 back at school.  The idea was to use it to
do a flight simulator with the three machine being front, left and right
views.  We got it working as a test system, but never got any further, as
we hit school leaving age and lost access to any networks for yonks.
