Subject: what font best to use with email

Sorry to bother you, fellow, but what font is the best to use with
email. This just cme to a head, because I kept seeing an accented
u when people were representing prices in pounds. I went to reply,
but then discovered that it showed the proper symbol. (I use a different
font in replies.)

Ergo, Terminal font (at least over here in Canada) doesn't show the right
symbol. Egad, what if all the symbols got mixed up?!

I know that some of the Signatures don't look right unless I take them to
Notepad (let me see now, was that Write/WordPad?)

I know, such a silly topic in a BBC mailing list. Of course, if I ever transfer
my files from the BBC, and pound symbols will come out as a leading single
quote! Ah, the joys of the ASCII "standard."
