Subject: and onto Beeb no 2

So thanks to Phil pointing out that I should disable the disc interface NMI
I proudly had my first repaired Beeb up and running. So after this success,
and while I am on what seems a good streak time to sort out number 2.

Issue 4. DNFS 1.2 Econet. No DFS fitted - NMI disabled :-)

The computer boots as normal, except it doesn't detect the Econet. *HELP
doesn't show NFS or DFS, just OS 1.2. ROM is OK, checked in another machine.
All ROM sockets are OK, checked with another 16k eprom (wordwise) and this
works from all of the sockets, so select seems to be OK.

Removing DNFS 1.2, I fitted 8k NFS 3.34. Now on boot the machine hangs with
a flashing cursor.
Hmm. Disable Econet NMI and it boots, displays "Econet Station 223 No
Clock". No Clock I can understand. Tried putting in 8k DFS 0.9 and this
hangs the machine although it gets as far as displaying BBC Microcomputer
32k <CR><LF> Acorn DFS Beeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

Any ideas where I should be looking, what I should test ?

Mark
