It's called an EIAJ connector (may have also been called ADEC) and it
seems to have been common on Sony equipment.

I have wired up a Sanyo colour monitor using this connector and it
worked well.

Unfortunately, I no longer have the monitor or the pinouts, though would
venture to suggest you won't do any harm by experimenting.  I'd start
with the two sets of 3 pins grouped together as one or other row of 3 is
likely to be R,G,B and then once you've got a rolling picture, it's an
easy matter to find the sync pin.
