Subject: B-Master compatibility issues

--0-1714636915-944143556=:7513

Hi there, isn't it just sad that when Acorn designed the Master they compromised
on 100% backwards compatibility with the Model B computers? Anyhow, folks,
I need some tips on getting graphics intensive games for the Model B to
run on the Master. I found that the original Elite just doesn't run properly
on a Master. I remember with a 1991 issue of the Micro User there was a
simple routine explained, which does something to the extras in the Master's
memory, freeing up space for Model B programs to run properly without any
obstacles. I have a feeling that this is one of many routines and tips though.
Can someone please help me with a really good one?

Also, can someone tell me where I can in the meanwhile, find an inexpensive
but decent IC remover to remove those ROMs around the discrete obstacles
on the board?

Thanks.
