The Master's hardware is very different to that in the model B.  Since
games in particular access the hardware directly for compactness and
speed, it's inevitable they will have problems.  Anything adhering to
Acorn's programming guidelines and accessing hardware features through
the OS will remain compatible.

Something in the dregs of my memory tells me that the utility disk that
came with the Master contained a program which could be run to make the
Master more compatible with the Model B and allow some earlier software
to run.  Is this a figment of my imagination?

Pass.  it would be best to run games software written for the B on a B.

You might as well.  They're usually free, or a tenner or so.
