Does anyone know how to get far in Citadel 2? I think I have done quite
well considering how many damn bugs there are in it and my score is 36%
in my current saved state. I can get about 39% but then can't get back.
If anyone wants the saved state file (BeebEm for Windows v1.02 state) I
can e-mail it to them, although that shouldn't be too necessary.

Maybe the secret is in another hidden tunnel? So far I have found a
couple of them, one leading to the essential green/red key that lets you
out of the bit where you use the cog, another leading to the bit where
you use the taps, another leading to a diamond in a room full of
hammers...but there's probably one I haven't found that has an essential
key in. The doors so far unopened that I can get to are the
purple/yellow one up the tower where the bird is, the green/blue one
next to the start and the cyan/green one near the clock (which I have
the key for but I can't get to it).

Any tips on using the following objects: the weird green/cyany thing
that looks like a guitar or a pitchfork or something, the bucket (which
seems to fill with water but then won't put out the fires), the bird,
the axe, the pipe, the weird apple that turns you upside down but only
if it's placed in the room it starts in? Oh, and is there any use in the
secret tunnel that leads under the right water bit, because if I go in
there I find nothing, then get blocked by a spider.

If possible, please don't give too much away, just give me one hint for
one object that will help the rest fall into place. I'd like to say I
completed most of it myself, like I did Citadel 1 - I got to 97 points
on my own in that one, just needed to ask someone where the yellow crown
was (in the Witch's house!) I was thorough enough to find the title
screen above the east of the temple too. I also completed all of Palace
of Magic myself, but that was a doddle and only took a few hours. I
reckon if they had made more of an effort with Citadel 2 it could have
been a lot better (with respect to adding clues near secrets - the caves
one being a prime example etc).

I have been deliberately cryptic in order to not give too much away to
people who are similarly stuck, and don't want it spoilt, but I can be
more specific if that's what people want. Believe me this is a last
resort, as I don't like having to ask for help (the game's just too damn
hard). Thanks for any help...
