Subject: Superior Software/Acornsoft games

Dextrovix posted a longish statement which is still up:

http://www.retrobbc.co.uk/

I wonder what people's general opinion is about this?
How would people like a re-release to appear for them to consider
purchasing it? One fat CD-ROM, or 20 issues of "Play It Again, Sam,
Pretty Please"? :-)

My own preference would be one CD-ROM with all the games published,
including full documentation, solutions, history, credits, interviews,
some good emulators, maybe some videos...

That said, I find it slightly depressing that such a re-release has been
mentioned at least since 1997, still it is impossible to find any
official statements about it. There is no indication whatsoever that
"the plans that are afoot" have made any progress since that time. Also
neither Superior Software nor ProAction seem to have any existence on
the 'net.

Second best would be the donation of the entire Acornsoft/Superior
collection to the public domain. :)

Ah well, my life is still mostly ahead of me.

Robert
