Subject: Re: Standard file format for BBC games?

And some more ideas. With a central DB on the net, the best thing would be
to have an open protocol for the exchange of info. Hey, if we design it
properly (ie open and flexible enough), it should be easy to "hang in" all
of the current collections of Beeb programs on the net. And cover art,
instructions, etc.

Anyway, the central DB + protocol shouldn't be too difficult. I'd be glad to
contribute. I'll have little time next months to do a lot of programmming,
but with a PhD in distributed systems design :) I could make some time free
to work on the protocol. (I'm already visualising an XML spec :)

Regards,
Mark.
