Hi John,
If it is the Acorn Teletext adapter, I would of thought it would be
similar in style to the external Co-Processors. From what I remember they
had an internal PSU similar in style to the BBC B, so maybe the 2-pin plug
you have got was originally connected to an internal PSU.

The other thought is that someone has modified the Teletext Adapter
when it's internal PSU stopped working.

As there are only 2 connections to the PCB, does the PCB silk screen tell
you which lead is +VE and which is GND ?

If there is no onboard voltage regulator then +VE should be +5 Volts, and if
there is a voltage regulator on board then +VE will more than likely be +12
Volts.

However, if anybody knows anything different....

Andrew Chesterton.

No its definitely not mains powered! The plug is a small one with 2 pins on
it. The pins look a similar size to the auxiliary power output on the BBC
but as I say there are only 2 of them.
