Yes, I've tried switching the keyboard connector. I've even tried a different 
keyboard and cable assembly. The jumpers are set exactly the same as another
BBC I have here and I don't believe it ever had a swr or any other type of
add on. At the moment it's as plain as can be.

Something else I forgot to mention in my last post in that I get slightly 
different pitched sounds each time I switch it on. Pressing the break key
also causes different pitches and causes different LEDs to turn on. Sometimes
the tape relay clicks on as well.
