Subject: Transferring from 5.25" floppy...

I'm finally in a position to transfer all my 5.25" floppies to BeebEm.
Richard Gellman should be canonised you know.

Almost all my floppies are 640K ADFS from my Master 128 days. I have the
M128 with me, and a dual 5.25/3.5 inch disc drive. I have no serial cables.

I have examined every file transfer utility I can find and have successfully
used FDC to transfer several 3.5" 640K ADFS discs to disc images and from
there to use them in BeebEm.

My question: what is the best/quickest way to transfer these disks?

I assume that hitching up the Master and dual drives, to transfer them to
3.5" disks and then using FDC to read them into image files on the PC will
be quickest. I imagine just using the normal ADFS Backup command will be
best.

Can someone confirm this? Is there a better way? Any advantage to connecting
a 5.25" drive to the PC directly?

Thanks,

John
