Glad that you agree Endie, I have certainly enjoyed the last couple of list - 
days.  It is also evident that internet connection via a BBC is a theoretical 
possibility, although there will be some technical problems to overcome 
first, like how to link the thing to the 21st century internet service.

The reasons for people wanting to wire a BEEB to receive e-mail would, I'm 
sure, be purely emotional in most cases, although I can see that there would 
be a serious practical aspect to the suggestion - but I will withold any 
further comment on that as it would seem that we look at it from two 
different angles, probably because I seem to be the only one of the pair of 
us that uses a BBC for work purposes.  All I will say is that I will support 
whole-heartedly anyone who wishes to take on the task for emotional reasons, 
and do not think that they should be dissuaded or layed into in any way by 
people, simply because the difference in opinion is there.
