And for those who are interested, the Electron version has a 
smooth scroll by simply switching from mode 6 to mode 5 at 
an appropriate moment so that the blank spacing between 
character lines has accumulated to produce the correct 
quantity of scroll. Of course the hardware video start address 
is used for all but the three least significant bits of scroll offset.

This method leaves the top few scanlines necessarily unusable, 
but otherwise is a very clever method and can still give a 
larger view area in pixels than the entire ZX Spectrum display.

Also, I feel the need to boast, the game worked in ElectrEm 
before I even knew it existed or had figured out how it works!
