Where have you put the roms? Are they ssd? Are they disc images or tape? Are
they zipped or unzipped? The files are obviously not where they should be or
not in a recognisable form. It's possible that they are not actually images
but the actual disc/tape programs (you will need to convert them via BBC
Explorer).
I would suggest going back to
http://members.aol.com/mikebuk/beebem/setup.html and working through the
page again and making sure that you follow the instructions one by one. I
use WinME and it works ok although sometimes a little slow - have you tried
B-EM from http://www.stairwaytohell.com/index2.html ? It seems to work well
on faster systems and is compatible with most games although a little
confusing to start with. It's the one I use most.
Hope this helps a little

Subject: [BBC-Micro] Please help a clueless girl!

Hi there,

I hope someone can help me!
I've just downloaded the BeebEm emulator and can't get it to work. All I
want to do is play some games on it. I've downloaded some ROMS but all I get
if file not found messages when I try to play them
What am I doing wrong? Should I try another emulator?
I'm running Windows XP by the way.
PLEASE HELP! This is totally frustrating!

Ami Williams
