Don't know if anyone has responded to this already, but in my
experience, HD 5.25" disks cannot be used and won't format in the Beeb
DD drives. I also found they don't work in PC DD drives, nor Commodore
PET drives, so there must be some difference between them and DD media.
This is unlike 3.5" HD disks which seem to work fine in all DD drives.
