OK, so what did one of those comprise of? I thought that was one of their
'upgrades' to a stock BBC machine, but your comment about keyboards below
suggests not.

I have the Z80 disc pack - an external case for two floppies which I'd assume
just plugs into the standard BBC floppy controller? Then I have a few spare Z80
boards (one of which is the 'Tosca' with the built-in high speed serial link) -
I assume your system must have one of those :-}

The BBC system board will presumably have the Torch MCP ROM in it, whilst the
Z80 card has the CCCPN ROM?

Hardware-wise was there anything else to it other than that? What does the case
look like? What manuals / floppies did you get with it? Questions, questions...

I only have *one* and that's currently having problems; it's way down on the
list of things to fix right now. BBC keyboards work fine if you take out the
Torch interface board. Somewhere I saw a doc amongst the pile that listed what
key combinations on the BBC keyboard map to the custom keys on the Torch
keyboards.

Strangley enough I have 5 Triple X keyboards I think. But only the one older
Torch one that has the 15 pin connector (actually I have another two with the
15 pin connector that look like standard PC XT keyboards; I haven't ruled out
those being for something else entirely yet :-)

It's possible spare keys - or even more keyboards - will turn up as the guy I
got these from unearths more stuff. He was something of a hoarder, and it won't
surprise me if there's a lot more buried under other things (such as all the
floppies and Acorn schematics that turned up today :)

cheers

Jules
