Subject: Call for comment on draft 0.10 UEF specification

--=_NextPart_Lycos_0272841059691980_ID

Recently Fraser Ross has been adding the finishing touches to a super-replacement
for my own old MakeUEF, which will convert tapes to UEF files with a very
high degree of accuracy. As a result, several additions have been made
to the UEF format, especially to do with 'security' wave forms which I
hadn't previously read about or met. I've compiled the changes together
into a draft specification for version 0.10 of the file format. I'm aware
that the UEF format has done somewhat less than set the BBC Micro emulation
world on fire, but nevertheless I thought perhaps I might find some constructive
criticism here? The draft spec is at:

Also heavily cleaned up are the parts to do with explicit disc images,
and some other small parts.
