Nah, all I'm assuming is that the emulator shouldn't introduce errors where
they can be avoided. The whole 
topic is, as Pete points out, not as clear cut as we all might like as monitors
remain mostly imperfect. Analogue 
ones do, anyway. I guess those with shiny LCD monitors using DVI sockets
or whatever the computer 
equivalent is get a perfect aspect ratio every time?

Does we include the people who'd stock monitors? That might provide further
evidence for this being a monitor 
v TV thing. That is, assuming that by the PAL standard the image isn't square
but Acorn thought it was 'close 
enough' and called it square.
