Subject: BBC B PSU part

Hello,

I have a BBC Model B power supply that has a cracked and smoked capacitor
. It's in location C1 between the fuse and R1. It is a rectangular block
with 0,01 uF @ X printed on it. I need to get a replacement but don't kno
w exactly what type of capacitor it is.
Would anyone be kind enough to let me know what I should be looking for w
hen ordering a replacement, or better yet show me where a replacement is
on either of the two suppliers websites that I would use. I'm in New Zeal
and and while I'm sure Maplins in the U.K. could help, I'd much rather bu
y locally.

Interesting enough the PSU still works. I'm not sure what the compoent do
es but I'm sure it should be replaced anyway.

Thanks,

Mike.
