AFAIK NOAA and METEOSAT are still alive. Have a look at
<http://www.sat.dundee.ac.uk/> - they've got a METEOSAT receiver hooked up to
a server - images of the UK available hourly (allegedly). You have to
register (i.e. give them your name and email address and tell them why you
want to access the images). Neat little site though.
I'm not sure if WEFAX is still alive though. There is some info at
<http://www.dxradio.co.uk/wefax/> though.

There's also the NOAA's Geostationary Satellite Server at
<http://www.goes.noaa.gov/>.
