Git :-) I must have tried five or six different machines now, plus a
couple of (old) floppy controller ISA cards, and no luck with any of
them.

Think it's just a case of luck as to what boards work and what don't.
I've got these SCSI-floppy controller boards that'll definitely do the
job, I've just been too busy lately to get the time to finish the driver
off. Maybe I'll try and reorganise some things and get that one
sorted...

On the xfer front, I only seem to have two cables with the right serial
connector on them. One's built in to my Prestel adapter, so I can't use
that - the other one has the 5 pin domino connector at one end and a 5
pin econet-style connector at the other. I have no idea what the latter
one's for, so I don't want to sacrifice it at the moment! I'll have a
look at the museum as hopefully we've got some suitable spare connectors
there...

cheers,

Jules
