Subject: Battery Connection on a Master

Hello Group,

  My Master has a battery holder with 3 x Duracell AA batteries in it.
  They are new batteries but I am unclear about the connection to the
  motherboard. I have just turned the Master on and it has lost its
  CMOS settings.

  Can anybody describe which way up the 3 pin header goes on the
  Motherboard please? The pins on mine are corroded and I wonder if I
  had it back to front (I've temporarily disconnected it). I put a
  voltmeter across the battery pack (after dis-connecting it) and it
  showed about 4/5 volts then rapidly ran down to 1.83 volts, makes me
  a bit suspicious!
