To what end, though? Nobody these days can design a machine from scratch with
bespoke software - no matter how good it is, even if totally blows the doors
off the PC-based competition there's still no way it can succeed.
All I can ever see them doing is selling rebranded PC laptops running the
worst OS code on the planet - which seems like a sad end. Would have been
better to leave us with our memories IMHO :-(
The one glimmer of hope is that you're right and they've acquired technology
rights - in which case hopefully they'll do the right thing and put that in
the public domain so that we can better maintain all our old kit!
