I'll try that, although I think the problem is at the A5000 end
rather than the Master.  I wasn't aware of a "bug", what is it
exactly?

This could be the Master ANFS bug.  Try *UNPLUGing it and loading ANFS
4.25 into a sideways RAM bank.
