Subject: Dead Beebs (mine)

I'll have a go at having a good look for bits of wire etc (eyesight not as
good as it was so off to get a decent magnifying glass) but sometime ago
(and I can't find it) there was a mention in a mail of capacitors and such
which needed to be avoided (with fingers) due to the risk of a shock. I am a
little more used to these being the size of a "C" battery and therefore
quite obvious (and easy to discharge with a screwdriver).
Could anyone point me to a webpage etc that would tell me what they look
like in a Beeb please. Don't really want to fry myself.
Also, would it be safe to check for conductivity (think that's the right
word) with one of those continuity testers that have their own battery (two
probes, a battery and a bulb to show that fuses and wires are not broken) or
will that blow something (in case there is a bad connection in there).
Worked ok on my CD player (now fixed).
