Hey, that's spooky. Those are GCC RAMROM-15 boards like I just mentioned 30 
seconds ago in a reply to Neil :-) They're a bit useless unless you have the 
interface board in the accompanying beeb.

The units will take up to twelve ROMs, or up to four RAM ICs (and eleven ROMs 
then). Apparently they'll co-exist with an Aries B20 board. The on-board 
battery will keep any RAM contents alive should the system lose power.

I've got the manual in front of me, and I'm pretty sure I hung onto one of the 
units + beeb-side comms board. The comms board is only four LS-logic chips I 
think (plus CPU socket)... if needed I might be able to find mine and it's 
possible someone could bodge up a duplicate.

Quite nifty boxes, but I've never come across them before except at NPL.
