This crops up about twice a year on this list :-)

The quick answer is that "it might work", depending on whether you have a PC 
that'll read FM-density data or not.

There shouldn't be any electrical limitations at any rate, and providing 
you're not going through the PC's BIOS you should be able to control the drive 
OK. Just a matter of whether the FDC will read (or write) FM data.
