The service manual is available as in PDF as a scan of the original at
http://www.mauritron.co.uk/ for ?9.99. Do a search for VP415 in the top left
box and you should get to it. As far as I can tell it looks to be the right
one (but your risk).

Not sure whether it's going to be much help though...... it does list all
the error codes etc and provide full circuit diagrams, part numbers and
diagrams for the mechanicals - but getting any replacement parts is going to
be a problem. (:<)Hopefully it will be something simple. 

Really hope you manage to get it working but...... if you were to throw in
the towel then I know someone not a million miles away who would be
interested in buying parts (for spares!) and certainly the remote!
