It was almost as funny as a NewLabour attempt at rational policy or
legislation, but not as funny as telling the local kids deadpan that the
only way to get Elite is to go back to Zaonce and wait for *exactly* six
hours at the entrance to the space station, or "dowsing" for faults in
BBC Model Bs. (good party trick anyplace there is a dead model B in the
garden shed..

And definitely not as funny as some of the phone calls I've been getting
recently, like one day when the pipes were a tadge congested with
(legit) outbound FTP, from the MD of a long established arcade machine
company (that had a key Acorn connection, who has resisted urges,
carrots and sticks to migrate to Linux)

LMFAO.. Oh boy did he regret that. Made my day!

Or the manufacturing manager with another arcade machine company, who
liked to store all his Important-to-be-kept-on-record emails in his
"Deleted" (IMAP) folder to stop his inbox from getting too full.

February is being kind to me so far.
