In case he wants to roll his own, that is a DIN 45329, called 7'C' which 
John Kortink already gave a part number to look for. The other variant you 
describe is a 7'O' but I think not assigned a DIN.

It is even worse with 8-pin DINs of which there are at least two variations: 
DIN 45326 8'C' (270 degrees) or 8'U' (262 degrees). Of those, the 8'U' is 
quickly becoming rare, in particular female connectors for PCB mount.
