Subject: BBC connected to LDC-television via SCART

Have to confess I've tried the scart solution to a CRT and bought several
VGA adapters for my 17" LCD and still get fuzzy text - so a reasonably fool
proof solution would be welcome!

I suppose it depends a bit on how well the LCD monitor
scales and interpolates in relation to the native
resolution of its panel, but I'd guess it /should/ be
near perfect in most cases. On my Sony KDL-20S4000, it
is. Near perfect legibility. Probably even better than
the excellent (tubed) TTL-RGB monitor I used 'back then'.

A purely digital signal transfer (e.g. TTL-RGB to DVI)
would only be a tad better in my estimation. By far most
of the quality drop is already prevented by not using
composite video or a derivative.
