Subject: Prestel

<wishful thinking>I'm still waiting for a version of BeebEm that runs
multiple times on a headless UNIX box, offers it's screen via VNC,
supports Econet and has serial ports that can answer a telnet
conection... then I'll be able to fire up my old (Autognomic)
viewdata host, too..</wishful thinking>

I'll do the mods myself, when I have some free time, next blue moon..
got a years worth of decorating to get through first..

On a related note, has anybody got anything simple for windows that
can open and display a Beeb Mode-7 screen dump? Again, I could do it,
but thought I'd ask first...

Of course, this relies on my being able to access the files, which are
currently stored on the A5000 accessabe via econet.. Unfortunately,
I've still not managed to get the ethernet board in the A5000
working.. I did manage to ping the rest of the network, once, after
configuring it all manually, before I did a cmos reset to try and get
a universal boot working. It didn't help, and broke the ethernet..

Incedentally, I'd happilly pay (although I can't afford much) for a
risc-os machine or two of any sort that have a working ethernet (IP)
and AUN, partly so I can copy the config, and partly so I'd have
machines that can definitely talk to each other, so I can then mod the
econet support in BeebEm to also be interoperable..
