Subject: Dead(ish) BBC B - Pleae Help

I have just fixed the PSU on an Issue 7 model B and am getting some odd
startup behaviour.

I get the usual startup tone but it does not stop. The display works
and I get the usual "BBC Computer 32K","BASIC" and the prompt. Then I
get an additional tone producing an interesting "chord". The keyboard
is unresponsive except the break key which does work. After the break I
get a different set of tones but still continous and keyboard not working.

The PSU works perfectly on another machine and the keyboard is also
known to work on that other machine. No disk interface is fitted and the
MOS and Basic roms are also known working from the other machine.

Can anyone suggest what might be wrong?

Many Thanks

Peter
