Well in, David! :)

I believe that both Alex and Joel bought their tickets yesterday too, which
has now enabled me to "confirm" several items on the Acorn Equipment List
(including your GoMMC-powered Master!):

And though he can't attend in person, Charlie Robson (who designed the Atom
MMC upgrade, see <http://arduinonut.blogspot.com/2008/09/lash-up.html>) has
kindly built a board for me so I'll bring that along with my Atom and MMC card
(which is chock full of games and software!).

If anybody is interested in seeing the floor plan for "our" room, I've
uploaded a PDF here:
http://www.stairwaytohell.com/ByteBack2009_ExecutiveSuite.pdf

But a word of warning to anybody else who was thinking of attending: there are
effectively only 35 tickets left now, and I expect these to be snapped up
within days. I've been told that there won't be any extension of capacity
if/when the event sells out, and no tickets will be available to buy on the
door regardless. So if you've yet to buy a ticket, please don't hang around
any longer! ;) (required url is <http://www.byte-back.info/tickets.html>)

Hmmm ... not that I'm aware of.

I assume the RAM Cartridges manufactured by the likes of PRES/Slogger
(primarily for use with the Electron) would have done the job; however, they
seldom turn up on the likes of eBay etc.

I actually hoped that I might have been able to acquire some RAM Carts last
Saturday, as I collected all remaining Acorn items from the widow of the
gentleman who took over the Slogger business when Andy Hilbig moved on (which
would have been around 1990).

But unfortunately there were very few new/finished accessories at all. Lots of
Roms, Manuals & Empty PCBs though, plus a number of floppy discs which
intriguingly, appear to contain Source Code for many Slogger/Opus ROM Software
Products (more about these as and when I have time to go through them!).

Cheers
Dave.
