Ok folks - we've been offered extra space for Beebs at the above RCM event
<http://www.retrocomputermuseum.co.uk> so can I see a show of hands from any
ML-members who might be interested in attending and/or bringing Acorn kit?
Would especially like to hear from anyone who could provide Econet gear! :)

If, by the end of the week, little (or no) interest has been shown, I'll
advise the organiser that the space can be used for other purposes. Either
way, there should still be a good number of Acorn machines at the event (for
the benefit of members who read the list on a BBC Micro(!), I've included some
info from the STH forum-post at the foot of this message).

Now I'd imagine that Leicester(shire) will still be too far out of the way for
most of the Hampshire/London-based members (moaners?) but at least it's an
hour-or-so further South than Stoke! ;)

Finally, I'd hazard a guess that attendance will probably be around the 70-150
mark (so quite a small-scale do in comparison with Byte Back).

Incidentally, the next convention that /will/ be on par with Byte Back (in
terms of size) looks like being 'Retro Reunited'
<http://www.retroreunited.info> which takes place 12th-13th September 2009 at
the Cedar Court Hotel in Huddersfield (so more bad news for you Southerners,
I'm afraid). As was the case at Byte Back, a lot - and I mean a LOT - of space
will be available for Acorn hardware exhibits. I'll post more info about this
one soon, but for now, I'd definitely recommend pencilling the dates in at
least! =)
